Before Trying Again
After a timeout, the world may already have changed.
A timeout is not a negative answer. A request may never have left, or it may have finished while its reply was lost. A convenient retry button compresses those different worlds into one action.
That is why a retry needs a name. Stable request identity, queryable state and idempotency can turn “again” into continuation rather than duplication. The important saving is not always the wait; it may be the side effect of a second action.
